Replicas of Confederate Era South Carolina Flags made by CSA Flags

Before the State Legislature approved an official State flag for South Carolina, Palmetto flags proliferated across the state. These were usually white with a naturally coloured palmetto tree. Some also had a red star to stand for the state, and in some cases additional stars were added as other states seceded. The flag shown can be made for $100. |
The day after South Carolina officially seceded from what had become a tyrannous union, this flag was hoisted over the Customs House in Charleston. The original was quite large at 68" x 92" and was used later by the C.S.S. Dixie. A full-sized replica in cotton bunting with grommets, as the original, is $150. A 3' x 5' is only $75.
The South Carolina "Sovereignty Flag" was another design before the regulation of the State flag. It has the honour of having been raised over Yale University by Southern-sympathisers. The flag is discussed in a book review I have done which appears on the Books & Videos page of CSA Flag's Flags Unfurled flag study center. A 3' x 5' replica costs $150.
This is the battleflag of the 5th S.C. Cavalry Regiment, made after the original that appears on display at the Confederate Relic Room in Columbia. The S.C. regulation cavalry flags were the same size as the Infantry, which was approximately 48" square. According to Glenn Dedmont, whose new book on S.C. battleflags will soon be published, this flag was about 50" square. A replica costs $295.
There is not much left of the original battleflag of the 24th S.C., manufactured by the Charleston Depot. This replica is based on my own examination of the flag of the 24th and information provided by Glenn Dedmont. The replica costs $325.
